About Us

Who are ACEVic?

ACEVic is Victoria’s peak policy, industrial and development body for the Adult Community Education sector. We represent over 200 of Victoria’s Adult Community Education centres.

wayne   ACEVic was formed to provide support to ACE Boards and Committees of Management and their management staff. We recognise that committees are made up of busy people with lives outside ACE. Our industrial relations advice line is designed to support committees and their delegates with their obligations as employers. In addition we provide advice and support about all aspects of committee governance.

ACEVic meet with Minister Pike to raise your concerns about the Skills Victoria’s requirement to hold current membership of an approved Tuition Assurance Scheme, the increasing bureaucratic reporting requirements and the impact of the National Minimum Wage Order 2010. We advised the Minister that these issues have the potential to seriously impact on the viability and sustainability of ACE providers. The Minister commented that there is a review currently on the Weighted Training Hour System. ACEVicwill keep advocating on your behalf.
