Compare the Price of our “Fill the Gap” Contents And Assets Program
The ACEVic “Fill the Gap”, program is available to any not for profit community education provider, whether you are a member of ACEVic or not. We believe that our program offers lower premiums and higher claim limits because we:
- purchase collectively
- have a long and strong claims history
By working with a brokerage partner, Coverforce Insurance Broking, they are able to provide advice and support with settling claims, something not normally available when you purchase directly from an insurance company. Fill in the form below, letting us know when your current policy is due, and we will contact you to provide you with a no obligation comparison quote.
If your Contents and Assets insurance is due now, fill in the form below and fax or send it directly to Cameron at Coverforce Insurance Broking and he will forward a quote for you to consider.
About Our Insurance Program
ACEVic’s insurance program in partnership with Coverforce Fairweather Turner Pty Ltd, offers insurance tailored to the ACE sector. Our program is more than simply a set of insurance policies. Coverforce are Insurance Brokers whose job it is to ensure that you get the cheapest possible price for the insurance policies that cover your specific needs. Our insurance account managers. Cameron Taylor and Michelle Mikhael work with ACE and not for profit providers across NSW, Queensland and Victoria. They know how ACE centres operate so they ensure that you get the coverage you need.
Phone Advice
The ACEVic program with Fairweather Turner includes phone advice and support on all aspects of insurance. This includes one-offs and special events which may require specific coverage.
Advocacy
When you purchase insurance directly from an insurance company, rather than through a specialist brokerage, your insurance claims are processed by the same organisation making the payments. When you purchase through a specialist brokerage, part of their role is to advocate on your behalf to ensure that claims are settled in a timely and fair manner.
Simplicity
Once you have lodged an insurance claim with the ACEVic insurance program, your details are kept online. The following year, instead of completing a complete history again, you simply log in and update your information. This is a service unique to the ACEVic program.
Policies
ACEVic’s insurance cover is available for :-
- Public and Product Liability,
- Voluntary Workers Personal Accident,
- Professional Indemnity and Directors and Officers Liability and
- Industrial Special Risks (Contents and Assets)
Current Policy Holders

CAL
Who is CAL
In Australia, CAL is the declared collecting society approved by the Attorney-General to administer the Statutory Education Licence to all educational institutions. Every school, TAFE and university throughout Australia relies on this licence for their copying needs, as do a large majority of private colleges and RTOs.
Why do you need a licence?
Having a CAL licence means that you have the freedom to introduce a wide variety of additional materials for use in the classroom. This includes whole articles from newspapers or journals as well as up to 10% or one chapter from any books, or material found on the internet.
Without a Statutory Licence, your organisation will require one of the following options to copy any amount:
- a direct licence to copy materials with another copyright owner, e.g. subscription services; or
- the time and resources to seek direct permission from each individual copyright owner every time you want to copy something.
How much does a licence cost?
All educational institutions pay an annual fee. The cost for community colleges and neighbourhood houses is the lowest across all educational institutions at only 24c per enrolment (based on 2010 figures). The minimum fee per year is $50.00.
How to apply
To apply for your licence, contact Sue Attar, CAL’s educational licensing representative toll free on 1800 066 844 or email sattar@copyright.com.au.
