ACEVic Board Chair Sue Geals and EO Nina Bekker, met with Acting Executive Director ACFE Division Georgina Lyell and with the newly appointed ACFEB Chair Dr Teresa De Fazio to discuss current ACE sector successes and challenges.
ACEVic together with NHVic have participated in a number of Enterprise Agreement meetings representing Neighbourhoods and the Community Education sector.
NHVic and ACEVic met to discuss ACE sector challenges and successes and on common avenues to co-support providers.
ACEVic chaired the September Victorian ACE Policy Network (VAPN) meeting the Victorian ACE Peak Bodies focusing on the recently released Federal white page on Skills, Jobs and Training and funding models in Victoria for the ACE sector.
ACEVic were able to visit Kew Neighbourhood Learning Centre and attend their AGM during September. A valuable visit listening to provider challenges and meeting staff, students and new Board members.
Jointly hosted with ALA the first of a series of Professional Learning Network events- Developing Learning Plans (Nina Bekker) and Numeracy in the Workplace (Dave Tout) these PLN PD sessions are FREE to Learn Local Practitioners.
2024 Pre-accredited ACFE contracting closed, support offered to member organisations
ACEVic continues to meet with members 1:1 to hear opportunities, challenges and provide support, in particular in relation to the advocacy of the sector.
